DacEasy File Editors

The DacEasy File Editors are database tools that allow you to modify some of the values within the DacEasy database manually. The DacEasy File Editors should only be used when instructed by DacEasy Technical Support, as the incorrect use of the DacEasy File Editors can cause data loss. Additionally, before using a DacEasy File Editor, you should always make a backup of your DacEasy database.

Sage provides the DacEasy File Editors to ClientCare members free of charge. If you are not a ClientCare member, the cost of each DacEasy File Editor is $50.00. The DacEasy File Editors are password protected with a user name and password.

To download a DacEasy File Editor:

1. Contact technical support at 800-DACEASY and request a user name and password for the
   DacEasy File Editor that you need. If you are not currently a ClientCare member, you must
   purchase the DacEasy File Editor that you need at this time.
   
   
2. Technical support will provide you with the user name and password needed to download the corresponding DacEasy File Editor.
   
   
3. Click the DacEasy File Editor that you want to download from the list below.
   
   
4. When prompted, enter the user name and password supplied by technical support.

The download process allows you to save the file to a folder of your choice. This download file is a self-extracting executable file, which when run will copy the File Editor setup program to a temporary folder of your choice. You can then run the setup program and install the File Editor using the onscreen instructions.

Note: When running the File Editor download file, you must enter a password to extract the File Editor setup program. The password required to run the File Editor download file is the same password used in step 4 above. If you need additional assistance, please contact technical support.
